HANDMADE in ITALY
We are a husband and wife team designing and making bespoke olive wood boards and furniture in the remote countryside in Salento, Italy, made mostly from fallen or pruned branches in our olive groves. Most boards are 1 inch thick and the wood is generally 5 to 10 years old. They are finished with a food-safe mixture of local beeswax and vegetable oil that seals the wood for a water resistant finish. Never put your Olivewood board in the dishwasher! Hand wash and dry. If you love the way your new board looks for serving, consider only using one side for chopping and cutting, and save the other side as a server. Olive wood will weather and show marks like most other woods. We think they become more charming over time.
All boards are made to order, as to not waste any wood. Please allow one week for your board to be made and a couple of weeks if shipping outside of Italy.
Contact us with any questions! We are open to custom and wholesale orders for shops! :)
